1Introduction
This portal presents the foundations and learning path of control engineering, which measures the output of a dynamic system and adjusts its input according to a goal. The preceding communications sequence explained signal representation and sampling. Here, measured signals are used to determine control inputs, and the resulting response and stability are analyzed.
2Learning Path
- Distinguish a dynamic system, reference, error, and disturbance.
- Derive a negative-feedback closed-loop transfer function and assess stability from its poles.
- Define internal state as a vector and understand the dimensions and evolution of a state equation.
- Derive the relationship between a state-space representation and a transfer function.
